Scorpius Constellation

The Scorpius constellation is tied to the Greek myth of the legendary hunter Orion. According to the myth, Orion boasted that he could kill every animal on Earth, angering Gaia, who sent a giant scorpion to defeat him. In other versions, the god Apollo, jealous of Orion’s closeness to the goddess Artemis, tricked her into killing him, while in some accounts Artemis kills him herself to protect her chastity.After his death, Orion and the Scorpion were placed in the sky as constellations. It is said that when Orion rises, the Scorpion sets, creating an eternal celestial chase. The Scorpius constellation symbolizes nature’s vengeance, power, and a warning against hubris.
